Religious Education continues to be an active and vibrant core subject in which we seek the knowledge, understanding and experience needed to live out our Jesuit identity. Several years into the Come and See program, Donhead continues to earn high praise during each of the annual inspection visits from both the Education Commission of Southwark Diocese and the Jesuit Provincial. Due to the high standard of teaching, planning and assessing here at Donhead, our programme has set the standard for many Jesuit and other diocesan Catholic RE programmes in the UK.
Donhead teachers have enjoyed continuing professional development opportunities via the Jesuit Institute and the Independent Schools Inspectorate, which help us lead the children toward greater understanding of and respect for: our Lord, our faith, our fellow Christians, our fellow man and our world. Parents enjoy the termly curriculum overviews with suggestions for further faith exploration. Donhead looks to the future with confidence as we merge our Chaplaincy and RE departments creating a caring and active team, bringing our community further opportunities to explore, discover and respond to the risen Lord.
