CURIOSITY • CREATIVITY • COMPASSION

From strength to strength, Donhead Mathematics continues to improve upon its strong foundation. Using the base syllabus of the Independent School Inspectorate, Donhead seeks to expand and challenge pupils’ mathematical thinking. Using multiple approaches, pupils are encouraged to find their best learning style to make Maths memorable and fun.

Being a non-selective school, Donhead enjoys the opportunity to group children by their ability thus allowing the appropriate amounts of challenge and/or support needed to access and compliment the curriculum.

Using a range of traditional to tech-based methods, a healthy bank of resources and positive attitudes, the pupils obtain a great sense of achievement and confidence from their Mathematics. Whether it be mental mathematics, basic numeracy or algebra, Mathematics is celebrated at Donhead; during lessons, puzzle days, Royal Institute master classes and Mathematics thinking skills days.
