The History curriculum at Donhead is designed to provide students with a broad and balanced understanding of the world around them, encouraging them to question how the past has influenced the present and to develop a sense of empathy. Students analyse historical sources and artefacts to develop their enquiry skills and investigate how bias can inform different perceptions of history. The curriculum makes use of the creative opportunities that the subject has to offer and our students take part in numerous trips and historical performances throughout the year, including a school-wide History Day, showcasing and celebrating the study of History across the school.
